Cancel a future recurring gift

We set up a new fund. After several months the fund advisors decided not to use the fund. One of our donors had set up a future recurring gift to that fund. How do I cancel that gift so it does not process and pay out? Thanks.

I would recommend reaching out and explaining the situation to the donor. A gift officer should probably do it, since it is a great stewardship touchpoint. See if they are interested in supporting another area of your organization rather than just canceling the gift.
