Create student groups inside of a class

A teacher who has worked with Canvas before has asked if there is a way to create groups in a class. Canvas has a function where you can divide a class into groups of students, and each group has their own discussion area and assignments. Great for group projects! Anyone doing something like this in Blackbaud's LMS?

    Under Assignments, Publishing Options, you can assign something to a full section or selected students.

    you may add this an ehancement to the idea board. When you use the publishing feature, it does not remember the group of students you selected before unless you make a copy of the assignment.
