Teacher who is Auditing a Class - How best to add to the roster?

One of our teachers (actually an “adjunct faculty” member - a cloned role) is going to audit several of our high school classes. BB Support advised that I enrolling him as a “student," which I am loath to do. Any wisdom from the hive?

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg would giving him access to those classes through Content Editor work?

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg You can open up the class Bulletin Board, Topics, Assignments, and/or Roster pages for viewing for the adjunct faculty role in Core>Security>Group Page Access. If you want to do this for just one class, set up the page access by “Individual Classes”. We have all of our Classes (Bulletin Boards and Topics) open for all teachers. They can get to the class via the Groups tile on the Resource Board or via “View other classes/groups” at the bottom of their Classes/Groups dropdown.

  • Thanks to all who offered suggestions. After much consideration and to not to risk “breaking” his current access, I plan to make another record for him with the Student role. Still not ideal, but at this point, my priority is to give him student access.
