Honorariums for potential grantee partners

Not specific to BBGM, but CDP is looking to review its honorarium policy and is gathering information about if/when/how other funders provide honorariums to potential grantee partners. We are invitation-only, but there are times when our grantmakers hold several conversations with a potential grantee partner before deciding whether or not to invite them to a full application. While we don’t do formal letters of intent first, grantmakers will occasionally ask for a two-page bulleted summary of potential needs. A complete application is rarely rejected, but it has happened a few times.

  1. Do you provide honorariums for discussions with potential grantee partners? If so, how much?
  2. Do you provide honorariums for letters of intent? If so, how much?
  3. Do you provide honorariums for unsuccessful full proposals? Or for successful proposals? If so, how much?
