Event Registration
What is the best way to set up a non paying event? an RSVP of sorts? We have many event which families are invited with their children, so I need to know child's name, age and and allergies/special instructions, etc. Do I set these up in User Defined fields under Event Information? But then if they register 4 kids, I need this information for all of the kids.....Any ideas on how to best streamline this?

Hi Theresa!
For a non-paying event/RSVP page, I would definitely recommend creating an Online Contact Form.
Because this will create contact entries, you'd need to make sure any UDFs created for this page have a Field Application of "Contact". But yes, I would recommend setting up fields that will include this info. There are two options:
1. An individual field for each child for Name, Age, and special instructions/allergies. Now this would mean you'd need X number of fields for each child multiplied by Y number of possible spaces for kids.
2. You could have a single Note type field with the instruction of what information needed to be filled in. (Ex: Please include the following information for your registration - Name of additional RSVPs/Children, Age of children, and any special needs, information, or allergies. If you are not RSVPing for any children, please enter NONE.)
Because you'd need to know that info, you might consider making the field required on the DIY form. If that is necessary, I'd lean toward #2 being the option for you to do. While it may not be as pretty in a report, it will likely look better and have an overall as pretty of a feel and experience for your page's visitors.0 -
Can you make forms only available to a certain
date? Like closing registration?Theresa

Hi Theresa,
That's a great question. Forms do not have an automatic turn off date to close a registration. They can be disabled, but that has to be done manually.
Thanks,

I think this would be a good feature to have, as
events end or fill to capacity. I do you send this suggestion
along to the product upgrade teams?Theresa
