Generic\\nondescriptive error messages

I have noticed in the past couple of weeks that when I get an error message for one reason or another the message no longer describes the error. Why? Was this a purposeful change? Has anyone else experienced this, and how can we get it changed back?

    where I used to get a message when trying to delete an email, phone or address that says, this is connected to a sales order, I get the message you describe - it is weird! now that i know it has simply replaced the old message, I go about business as usual but it is definitely a recent weird change


  • @Gary Ragan I've noticed this message appearing frequently over the past few weeks. It occurred while I was attempting to delete a transaction. I submitted a support ticket, and they informed me that they would investigate the issue since the correct message should be "deposit needs to be unlocked."

    @Gary Ragan @Regina Holten - Hello and thanks for posting on the Altru Community. I just wanted to let you know that our engineering team is aware of this issue and we've updated the error messages to be more specific in our next release.

    Most of the actions that display this error are actions that cannot be performed by design, but we're updating this KB with additional information as it becomes available.
