Hey all, I did search previous discussions and found one on this in the RE section--from 2016--so I thought I would ask again. Can anyone help me understand the differences between Altru and Raisers Edge? We are an A&C Org with memberships & event ticketing. We do not charge admission and do not have need to track things such as membership discounts at our restaurant or gift shop. Is there any reason RE would not work for us? We currently use Altru, but are considering changing. None of the powers that be that originally decided on Altru are still here, so none of us know the reasoning for the choice. Thanks!

    @Tanya Ferguson, unfortunately, I'm not sure there are many of us that have used both platforms, to be able to give an apples-to-apples comparison. While I imagine that RE could work for you, it isn't adapted to sales records or online purchase platforms so much as donations, and you mentioned a restaurant and gift shop. I think you'd be best off either reaching out to BB for a demo viewing, or else asking your professional network at nearby organizations if you can stop in their office for a day and get a live tour of their database systems.
