How do you track a truly anonymous donor?

I know about “gives anonymously” and “anonymous donor” - we have a transformational gift donor who is anonymous within our organization - identity is only known to maybe 4 staff? We use the prospect and prospect plans modules to track prospect activity and moves, and I'm trying to think of how we can keep track of these interactions without all Altru users seeing the name and info of the donor. Should I just make a dummy record? Is there another workaround folks are using? Would love to hear if this has come up before!

@Kate Burnite If this is a record that some staff should know about, and others should not know anything about, you could put a constituent code on them that is then set up to be only accessed by some groups via security. If everyone should be able to access the record, but just not know the true donor name, I would make the record named Anonymous Donor #xxx and have a note on the record with the name, but with a note type that is limited by security to only be visible to the director, or similar. There may be other ways, but this is what comes to mind for me.
