Cash vs Donation

The gift api outputs gift type = Cash as Donation. Is this proper behavior? Can we assume all Cash will be translated as Donation?

    This is the behavior that Blackbaud has coded.

    RE Database view's gift type is not the same as RE Webview's gift type and is not the same as API gift type.

    Database view: Cash
    Webview: One-time Gift
    SKY API: Donation

    @Victor Heijke
    There is also no distinction between different Pay-### that database view has. on the SKY API, it is all PledgePayment.

    Unfortunately that's what we are dealing with where Blackbaud did not keep same terminology (even webview and SKY API not same is odd to me)

  • Hi @Alex Wong, thanks for the helpful descriptions. Would you mind putting up a mapping table between Database View and Sky API? I'm trying to pull the equivalent gifts from a report that filters on: {"Cash", “Pay-Cash”, “MG Pay-Cash”, “Recurring Gift Pay-Cash”, “Pledge”}. Thank you!
