What Is Something You Look Forward To Every Day?

I saw a post on Reddit this morning asking the same question, and the responses were very touching. Asking the same to the Blackbaud Community:

What's something you look forward to every day?

For me, it's pulling up to the house after work and seeing my wife and daughter smiling and waving at me through the window. No matter what happens from 8am-5pm, seeing them makes everything a million times better.

I look forward to playing with my dog, even though I am working from home. She loves to sleep in her bed and snores. I am working and she is snoring away, which makes me jealous and want to take a nap. Otherwise, I look forward to unwinding by knitting a blanket for one of my grandchildren.

In the office, some of the excitement comes from wondering what soup is on offer that day (and free food always tastes a little better) and at home, from wondering what exactly past-me bought when I did the grocery shopping!

@Bobby Steurer this question really made me stop and think. Thank you for the chance to introspect. Here are my answers: People I interact with (my family, ya'll, my co-workers etc.), music, morning coffee, choosing what to eat for dinner, the view in my backyard.

My cat greets me at the door when I get home so I can carry him around singing songs about how his day must have been while I put my purse away, turn up the heat, etc. He seems to enjoy it since he lets me do it every day! Lately I have been singing to the tune of various songs from Aladdin. I like to think creating Kitty Originals every day is good for my creativity. = P (And remembering all the words to “A Whole New World” well enough to give them a twist relevant to a spoiled indoor cat is harder than it sounds!)
