What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT For Canada And The UK: Fundraising Benchmarks!

To help identify gaps in your organisation's fundraising effectiveness, it's valuable to understand how others perform. In Fundraising, Analyse or Reporting, those of you in Canada and the United Kingdom can now compare your donor pool and giving to that of other organisations in your country using Raiser's Edge NXT.Under Benchmarking, you can compare:

• Retention rate — The percentage of your organisation's donors who gave during both the selected calendar year and its previous year.
• Recapture rate — The percentage of your organisation's donors who gave during the selected calendar year and two-to-five years prior.
• Acquisition rate — The percentage of your organisation's donors who gave for the first time during the selected calendar year.
• Total revenue — How much your organisation raised through cash-in-hand giving during the selected calendar year.
• Revenue per donor — How much a donor gives in total (on average) during the selected calendar year.
• Recent and current donors — How many constituents gave during the past five calendar years or just the selected calendar year.

For consistent comparison across all organisations, the benchmarks include:

• All donors, including those now marked as inactive or deceased
• Calendar years only — not fiscal or financial year
• Cash-in-hand giving — not soft credits — through:
  • One-time gifts
  • Payments toward matching gifts, pledges, and recurring gifts
  • Gifts of stock and sold stock

For apples-to-apples comparison, you can filter the dashboard to include only organisations with a size like yours. You can also choose which calendar year to analyse.

Admins! In Control Panel, choose which security groups or roles can access Benchmarking in Fundraising, Analyse or Reporting to compare your organisation's performance to others. 

Don't see this feature? To enable apples-to-apples comparison, in the database view, your organisation's currency and country ISO name under International in Config must be match other organisations in your country.

• In Canada, your organisation's currency must be Canadian dollars, and your country ISO name set to Canada. 
• In the UK, your organisation's currency must be pound sterling, and your country ISO name set to United Kingdom.
