The Blackbaud K-12 User Conference 2018 Primer

Published
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s almost time for our annual Blackbaud K-12 User Conference! This event always means a lot to us here in the K-12 office as it’s our way to directly meet you face to face as well as show off some cool things we’re working on behind the scenes.

While this is something we’ve put on for years now, I’m guessing there’s at least a few of you who may be new to the scene. To help, I’ve gone ahead and put together this guide to give you all a bit of insight into what the conference is, and where you can learn more about it. It’s also worth mentioning that we’re doing things a little differently this year, which both newcomers and experienced attendees will want to hear.

So, in case you missed it, here’s everything you need to know about the annual K-12 User Conference for 2018.

What is it? First things first, if you’ve never attended the K-12 User Conference before, you may be wondering what it is. Essentially, the UC is a great way for you to get in touch with us. It’s three days of getting face to face time with your fellow schools, lots of networking, sharing ideas, learning more about the products, and getting a sneak peek at what we have coming for you down the road.

Where is it? In the past, we've held these user-centric show closer to home in Boston, Massachusetts. New for 2018, we’re taking things to the west coast in beautiful Seattle, Washington.

I can’t make it; Is there another way I can participate? While we’ll certainly miss you, not being able to make it to Seattle doesn’t mean you have to miss out. If you want to get in on the fun, make sure to head right back here in the K-12 Community as we’ll have some online events available to all of you that you can participate in as well.

But that’s not all! You can find a whole lot more information on the official K-12 User Conference site including the agenda, registration details, hotel details, and a list of our sponsors and exhibitors. And hey, if you need a reason to justify your trip out to Seattle, we also have you covered on the site as well. Just take a look.

Plus, if you’re looking to get a sense of what our best practice sessions are like, the site houses our sessions from last year’s conference on demand for your convenience.

Still have questions? Not a problem! Send the User Conference team a question, and they’ll get back to you as quickly as they can. Want to discuss the event with your fellow community? You can head to our User Conference Discussion topic right here to get in on all the fun.

That’s all for now, but make sure to come back next week as we'll be giving you a sneak peak of the big summer navigation changes we have cooking up. Don't miss it! See you then!
