A Parent's Guide To Remote Learning
Published
Recent world events have changed the way we approach education. With schools moving to remote learning and trying to get up to speed with online classrooms, parents are also adjusting to a new way of life. Today we present a new guide for parents.
Some days, it feels like we’re living in an upside-down world. It feels like things are changing day by day and sometimes hour by hour. We are doing everything we can to provide resources to help all users navigate the system. Our newest resource is going to help parents maneuver through the online classroom as they are being tasked to become pseudo teachers in their home.
The Getting Parents Started with Online Classrooms guide will help parents assist their students in keeping up to date on their class work. The guide touches on a lot of different features that parents might need to use to make sure their student is still getting a good education including Assignments, Progress, and Resource boards. We cover basics like getting their student logged in, accessing your student’s class, making a personal directory, and more. We really tried to cover as much as we could without overwhelming parents with information.
This guide, much like our Teacher’s guide, is a fluid document. We will be updating it as needed to include more features, update existing information, and overall, make sure that parents aren’t scrambling to figure out the system. If you have suggestions on how to improve this guide, feel free to comment below.
