Here are the latest changes, updates, and new features for the Education management products for March 21, 2023.

Academics

Video preview for new Academic Profiles

A walkthrough video is available for the new version of Academic Profiles that we will be rolling out to all schools in waves starting in late March. Click here to watch it, or check it out in the Community post linked below.
Just like the old Academic Profile, the new 360 Profile displays when you select a student or alumnus via the People finder or via a list in Academics. The new profile contains the same features and capabilities as the older Academic Profile (plus a few new tools that we’ll show off in the video and the Community post linked below), but arranged under new tab headings in a more accessible format. Depending on your role at the school, some or all of the profile areas will be available to you.

Enrollment management

Contracts

We've made numerous updates to the Assign Contracts Type wizard as of March 14 based on some Ideas from our community users. Now, it's full screen and gives you additional column options like Current contract and Previous contract.
Users who already have a contract for the current year can be filtered out with a new checkbox option, and there are new filters which can be utilized including Previous contract, which displays a list of all contract types from the previous year.
Finally, admissions managers now see a filter list on the second page of the Assign Contract wizard to help show what has been selected.

API and Integrations

School API

We've updated the opponents object returned in GET Athletic schedules. The opponents.score property now provides a breakdown of the opponents.team_score and opponents.opponent_score properties (e.g., 77 – 11).

Subscribe to “What’s New”

To receive email notifications when the What’s new update appears, make sure to subscribe to the K12 community’s blog by logging into the community site and selecting the Subscribe button.
To manage your community subscriptions:
  1. Log into the community and locate your name and profile picture in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the drop-down arrow and select My Account.
  3. From the My Account page, select the Subscriptions tab and scroll down to the Blogs section.
  4. Locate Blackbaud K-12 Education solutions Blog. If you want to be notified as soon as the What’s new content goes live on the community, select the Instant option. You can also opt for Daily and Weekly notifications.
  5. Scroll to the end of the page and select Save changes.
