New Online Giving Features in eTapestry

On September 18, 2022, eTapestry introduced changes to the look and feel of DIY forms and new options for donation fee coverages to provide a better experience for you and your donors.

To take advantage of these updates, we suggest reviewing your existing forms:

• Evaluate how your organization wants to cover payment processing fees. For more information, see Complete Cover and Donor Cover.

• Note: This feature is available to those of you in the US and Canada with a Blackbaud Merchant Services account.

• Review the submission button on your forms. Is it obvious to donors? You can now change the style of the button to make it more discoverable.

• If your organization’s form offers giving levels, you can update these options to now appear as buttons.

• For those of you with embeddable forms, you can now adjust the template width.

Note: While these updates are available on all new forms, you’ll need to republish your existing forms to see these changes. To republish your form, from the Online Forms Editor page, select Go Live. 

Other improvements to DIY forms include: 

• From My Online Forms, disabled forms are now hidden automatically so you can find live forms more easily. To show disabled forms, select Show Disabled Forms.

• The most popular templates are now available as the first options when you create a DIY form.

• Sample banner images now display on most templates to help you preview design possibilities.

• Field, font, and button sizes and colors are now more streamlined and modern.

• More style configuration options, including template colors and submission button text.

• Better form responsiveness for different screens and increased width for readability.

• Thumbnail logos are now optional for templates.

• Customizable order for recurring gift options is now available when you edit gift information on a form template.

• Middle Name is no longer automatically included for new DIY forms.

• Select fields containing six or more buttons now display as two columns to reduce the length of forms.
