Immediate Action Required For LinkedIn Social Login

LinkedIn has new mandatory login requirements that may require your immediate attention.

Am I Impacted?
If you have enabled LinkedIn as a social login option in Luminate Online or TeamRaiser, your supporters may experience unexpected behavior (like not being able to log in) due to the deprecation of the LinkedIn OAuth1 and v1 API in early 2019. 

These changes by LinkedIn impact any Luminate Online customer who has enabled LinkedIn as a social login option in their Janrain dashboard.

What is the harm if I don't act now?
If you offer LinkedIn as a social login option on your Luminate Online or TeamRaiser site, your supporters' attempts to log in using LinkedIn will fail until you make updates in your organization's Janrain dashboard and the LinkedIn app within that dashboard.

What do I need to do?
Update your organization's Janrain Dashboard and LinkedIn apps as outlined in Knowledgebase Article 190510

When do I need to do this?
We recommend that you take action immediately if you have enabled LinkedIn as a social login option for Luminate Online or TeamRaiser via Janrain. Follow these steps to ensure that login via LinkedIn continues to work for your supporters.
