Blackbaud SKY API: Free Developer Tier Coming Soon

What are the SKY API benefits?

Anyone with a Blackbaud ID is eligible to sign up for a SKY Developer account. With a SKY Developer account, you have the following basic benefits:

• Obtain a SKY API subscription key, required to make SKY API requests.
• Create SKY applications, required for the OAuth 2.0 authorization protocol.
• The applications created can be connected to multiple customer environments.

What is changing?

The new free developer tier to the Standard APIs will be released Feb. 17, 2025. After this date, developers in the free tier will have access to 1,000 API requests per day, unless they join a team that has increased limits.
