Gift List fails to include the option of adding a column with donor's address

I know there are a few idea suggestions you can vote on asking that NXT gift lists allow a column for a constituent address. I have voted for all of them.

In the meantime, I have NXT users who don't use gift lists in NXT because they can't get a donor's address in their list. I can see if they are looking for one particular person but in most cases, our NXT users when they use a gift list are looking at a group of donors. And, every time they do, I get an email asking when Blackbaud will add that column to the gift list function. And then they ask me to pull the list with the addresses out of the dataview. Thanks for the extra work!

You can add the constituent name and the constituent ID. So why not the address? Not to be snarky but is the coding for this too complicated for your software engineers? Have you not had some field testers give you feedback that a list without an address is, in many cases, an unusable list?

What caused me to write this is one of our gift officers is looking to set up a list of donors to one particular fund so that she can mail out her own personal thank you letter each month or week or quarter and she just sent me an email asking if she can email me each time she needs the list.

The other topic is why can't NXT show all choices in a dropdown filter. For example, I set up actions lists for all of our markets' board members to show any actions assigned to them. Some of these markets have more than 10 people on their board. One has 34. To check to see if all current board members are on the list, I can click on that assigned solicitor filter but it only shows me, in first name alpha order, up to the letter M. Why can't it show all of them? I have to type names in individually for those not showing to insure they are in the list. A few years ago I was told they couldn't show more than 100 funds in a fund filter dropdown. Why not all of them? This is the cloud. We're not talking printing them on paper for me to check them.

OK. I'll get off my soap box. (Do people even get that reference anymore?)

Thanks for listening.

  • I have voted for the same things!  I hope someone looks at this.

Please add the ability for us to add columns of constituent information to gift lists. We need the address, phone, email address added to this so our advancement department can easily generate a list for donors who have given to a specific fund. This would save us a lot of time, because we would use it often. Thank you!
