Job Description:

Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practice locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.

Summary:

The Development Coordinator, Finance is responsible for administering gift processing including accurate recording and receipting of donations, monitoring pledge receivables, ensuring data integrity, and assisting in the maintenance of the database.

Responsibilities:

1.Receives, processes/records donations and pledges from the bank lockbox and online giving systems. Prepares associated gift batches and gift reports. Generates/sends timely receipts for same. Works with gift officers to ensure donor-intended restrictions on pledges are accurately documented and signed by the donor.

2.Maintains confidential donor files. Posts contributions to donors’ records ensuring accurate donor giving history. Revises demographic information as necessary. Updates various coding entries in the database, as necessary.

3.Assists in the monthly reconciliation of Raiser’s Edge with the general ledger for all Nuvance Health Foundations— prepares more than 40 reports twice a month that include: contributions for all gifts—through the lockbox as well as ACH, wire, stocks, and credit card charges from three platforms; new pledges; gift adjustments, bank account switch. Responds to accounting and auditors’ requests for additional information/backup related to gifts received.

4.Monitors pledge receivables on a monthly basis—queries the CRM system to identify donors with upcoming and past-due pledge payments, validates that information, and then produces an appropriate donor reminder communication for the CDO to review/sign.

5.Interacts with Foundation, Accounting, and Payroll staff, financial institution partners, CRM relationship partners, donors, etc.

6.Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position and performs other duties as assigned.

7.Maintain and model Nuvance Health Values.

8.Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

9.Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and one to three years of experience (OR five to seven years of related experience in lieu of the degree.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Suite; familiarity with database management and CRM software such as Raiser’s Edge; detail oriented; ability to organize and execute on multiple priorities; excellent communication (in person and writing), interpersonal, and analytical skills; pleasant and positive attitude.
