What's Your Favorite Board Game?
Are you into board and/or card games? If so, what are your favorites?
My family was gifted Mysterium last year, and it's become a go-to for us.

@Bobby Steurer cool! What a great question! I'm going to check out Mysterium! I havent been playing a lot of board games lately. I recently started doing puzzles.

@Bobby Steurer, my favorite has always been “Conquest of the Empire”, an oldie classic much like Risk or Axis and Allies, but set in the ancient Roman Empire. A second favorite is Balderdash!

@Austen Brown I feel like Mysterium is Clue-adjacent, in a way. Nice picks.

@Faith Murray Conquest of the Empire is such a sick name (in a good way). I need to track down a copy.

@Coco Parham I've been wanting to get into puzzles. Are you into super complex ones, chill ones, or a mix?
1 -
@Bobby Steurer Super chill-like on a rainy day. I dont think my brain can handle complex

OMG, I'm not sure I can pick just one. What level? How long do you want the play to be? Competitive or Cooperative play?
Some of my favorites are Random Encounters, Enchanted Forest, Ticket to Ride, We Didn't Play Test This At All, Drop It, Exploding Kittens, Outfoxed, Castle Panic, and Zombie Dice.5 -
If you are looking for new games to play, I highly recommend watching Wil Wheaton's show Tabletop. They play lots of great games.
3 -
@Allison King, I have no idea what most of those games are, but the titles are so awesome I'm now compelled to look them up!
6 -
@Allison King - Love Exploding Kittens and all the expansion packs!
8 -
@Bobby Steurer we love to play Sequence and play the boys against the girls. Very competitive in my house ?
4 -
@Allison King A friend of mine recommended Ticket to Ride and Wingspan as must-plays. I guess I must truly play! I've seen Wingspan on the Nintendo Switch eshop, but I'm wondering if the physical game is where I should jump in.
3 -
@Tineke Hage My wife recently taught me how to play Sequence. It's fun! Some things seem to get better with age.

@Bobby Steurer
We love playing Chutes and Ladders!!!6 -
@Whitney Shelton Chutes and Ladders is the game my 5-year-old grandson kicks my behind at, almost every time. And, he's not cheating! I guess it's my opportunity to model “losing gracefully."
4 -
@Bobby Steurer I am writing all these ideas down-its supposed to be a coooold winter!
7 -
@Bobby Steurer I like Clue and Trivial Pursuit.
2 -
@La Donna Borth LOL as does my 6.5 year old daughter!
2 -
@Bobby Steurerm I prefer card games - favorites being Kings in the Corner, Rummy 500, Uno (family oriented) and for adults Cards Against Humanity. OMG, I just played it for the first time a few years ago and almost peed myself laughing!
5 -
@Bobby Steurer - Surprised no one noted Settlers of Catan - I even play it with friends around the world in VR! Also in VR Demeo is a great one if you have time! All the old school ones are still fun… RIsk, Scattagories, Balderdash, Pictionary, Taboo, Huggermugger, Apples to Apples, Backgammon, Blockus and yes, even Cards Against Humanity with adults only! Wish there was more time in the world to play even more! So many games so little time! Have an AWESOME day everyone!
5 -
@Marie Stark I am really good at Classic Trilogy Star Wars Trivial Pursuit.
2 -
There's kids versions of Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Cards Against Humanity.
4 -
@Bobby Steurer - I like Monopoly and Taboo.
2 -
@Rose Dixon - I love Uno, especially during the holidays with the family.
3 -
@Austen Brown - Clue looks really interesting and fun. Will have to try it.
3 -
@Allison King That sounds like fun. I used to play the Lord of the Rings board game but the rules were too complicated and the chances of success were slim.
1 -

@Bobby Steurer So many good games in here - feeling good that I know most of them. Second @Allison King on Wil Wheaton's TableTop show on YouTube. My vote right now is going to Doomlings!
2 -
@Bobby Steurer
My favorites are card games, rummy and poker. My family loves too play Skip-Bo by UNO1 -
@Bobby Steurer, as I thought about the games I've really liked through the years, I realized that while I categorize them as “board games” most don't have a board! Some classics in our house were Yahtzee, Rumikub, Scattergories, Catchphrase and Mastermind. True board games would be Parcheesi and/or Sorry and Trivial Pursuit. For cards, we like Kings in the Corner, Crazy 8, Uno and Apples to Apples.
