Cleaning Organization's Contact Information

We recently migrated to RENXT and are currently cleaning up our data to ensure it is set up in a way we can pull reports/lists/etc. For Organizations, the contact information of our relationships is in the Org's contact info tile. We want to remove emails/phone numbers and only keep the address - all of our relationships have their corresponding contact info. I was wondering if folks have any idea on the best way to approach this clean-up - I was thinking of building a query pulling Orgs, exporting all of their contact information, removing the info so I can re-import it.

@Kyla Cortez It's possible to do this, but it may be fairly complicated if you are trying to link those email addresses and phone numbers to existing contact records because you have to have the Relationship Import ID to add it to the contact's Relationship to the Org. If the Contact is a Constituent, then you may also need their Constituent ID or Import ID to update that record as well. If there are multiple contacts for an org, there may not be an easy way to globally assign the information to the correct record.

  • @Kyla Cortez so with this project, are you saying that you have Org records with phone numbers and email addresses associated with the Org, and then separately you have relationship records for that organization, where the contact for the organization has the same phone/emails stored within their relationship/constituent record?
