Think of these as recipes for some favorite dishes, with the filters as the main ingredients. Apply additional filters to add your own flavor (or get the analysis just right)!

Active annual campaigns. To help identify and group like fundraising efforts, your organization can categorize campaigns by their intent, such as for Annual expenses. To help gauge your annual giving performance, apply these filters to the Campaigns dashboard for insight into only your active annual campaigns:
  • In the Campaign category filter, select Clear, choose the category your organization uses to identify annual campaigns (such as Annual), and select Apply.
  • In the Active filter, select Clear, True, and Apply.
For a list of the gifts received toward an annual campaign, apply the filter and select the campaign's Revenue or Number of gifts total under Progress to goals. To analyze specific giving toward annual campaigns, use the Gift date or Revenue filters. To save the list for later use, select Create list and Save.

For additional insight into a particular campaign, select its name to view its record. To go to its record, select View record. For more information, see the Campaign Records Help.

Actions with no type assigned. To help describe actions, your organization can configure types based on action categories. For example, for a category of mailing, you may set up additional types of Birthday or Inquiry. To help identify gaps in your data, use the Action type filter on the Actions dashboard to include only actions with no type selected — just select Clear, (empty value), and Apply.

For a list of the actions with no type, apply the filter and select the Actions total under Actions overview.
  • To edit the type for an action in the list, select Edit action from its menu, choose the additional detail your organization tracks to further categorize it in the Type field, and select Save.
  • To save the list for later use, select Create list and Save.
For more information, see the Action Categories and Types Help.

Actions with no assigned fundraiser. To ensure actions are completed, you can assign them to fundraisers to perform the task or interaction. To help identify actions to assign to fundraisers, use the Action assigned to filter on the Actions dashboard to analyze those with no assignment — just select Clear, None found, and Apply.

For a list of the actions with no fundraiser, apply the filter and then select the Actions total under Action overview.
  • To edit a fundraiser to an action in the list, select Edit action from its menu, select or search for who should perform it in the Assign to field, and select Save.
  • To save the list for later use, select Create list and Save.
Remember! To save a dashboard's filters for your personal reuse, select Unsaved View, Save current view. After you save a view, you can receive — and cc: others on — a PDF of the dashboard as an email at a regular interval. For more information, see the Saved Views of Analytics Help and PDFs of Analyze Metrics Help.
