The bbdevdays Hackathon invites customers and partners to create custom solutions using Blackbaud’s powerful APIs and tools. From automations that save time to business intelligence dashboards that unlock insights, the possibilities are wide open.

What Is a Hackathon, Anyway?

If you’ve never participated in a hackathon before, think of it as a creative project. You have until September 15 to bring an idea to life—solo or with a team—that solves a real-world challenge. It’s not about perfection; it’s about innovation, learning, and pushing boundaries.

Consider it a friendly competition where you get to:

• Build custom solutions like automations, integrations, or data tools to solve real-world challenges
• Learn new skills and explore the power of Blackbaud’s ecosystem
• Connect with a community of developers, partners, and changemakers

Your Chance to Win Big

Participants will have the opportunity to compete for prizes across four exciting tracks:

• Fundraising
• Education Management
• Data Quality/Hygiene
• Financial/Grant Management

Beyond the track-specific awards, there are also prestigious Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards. Winning teams will receive $500 and the opportunity to share their project in the Blackbaud Community and be featured at the Innovation Booth at bbcon. It’s your chance to shine, demonstrate your expertise, and gain visibility with your peers!

Key Deadlines

The competition is open, and all projects must be submitted by noon, September 15. To ensure you have the support you need for success, we’re offering office hours August 15, noon-12:30 pm EDT, and September 8, noon-12:30 pm EDT, to troubleshoot and answer any questions.
