Reminder: Upcoming Changes To The Weekly ‘What’s New’ Letter

ICYMI: Changes are afoot! We have a very important announcement regarding the future of our weekly What’s New release letters. Come find out what’s up!As you know, Blackbaud’s Education management products have a weekly release cycle, bringing all sorts of fixes, enhancements, and features to you every Tuesday. With things changing constantly, it’s obviously important to keep you updated on what’s going on, which is where our What’s New release letters come in.

Each week on Monday, we publish the notes to you, giving you a heads up on all of the new stuff we’ve added to changed. In case you missed it, I also provide a monthly recap right here on this blog. However, starting in June, the way you’ll be getting your weekly information is about to change. If you’re here now reading this, you’re that much closer!

Starting with our June 7th release, What’s New information moves to a weekly blog post housed right here in the community. What’s new content will appear on the site no later than 2 pm the Monday before our Tuesday release date.

To receive email notifications when the What’s new update appears, make sure to subscribe to the community’s blog by logging into the community site and selecting the Subscribe button. The existing email process goes away when we officially move the content to the community blog on June 7th, so to receive emails you must subscribe through the community.

To manage your community blog subscriptions:
  1. Log into the community and locate your name and profile picture in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the drop-down arrow and select My Account.
  3. From the My Account page, select the Notification tab.
  4. Locate Blog subscription option (must be checked to subscribe to any blog) and make sure it is checked if you want to be notified as soon as the What’s new content goes live on the community
  5. Scroll to the end of the page and select Save changes.
So you may be wondering, why this change? Essentially, this move now aligns the Education management products with how other Blackbaud products, such as Raiser’s Edge, communicates changes with its users. So, this aligns us with other products for a more consistent look and feel.

Again, if you're reading this now, not much will likely change for you. Just make sure you’re subscribed and don’t worry, there will be plenty of reminders before this change takes effect so you have time to prepare.
