After the Session: Blackbaud Grantmaking's New SKY UX View Deep Dive
I hope everyone had a great time at BBCON! It was such a wonderful experience especially in this new virtual format. BBGM made a great showing with quite a few sessions and AMAZING attendance. During this session we took a deep dive into the new SKY UX and outlined how Customer Success is here to help you. Q: When will the new SKY UX view be available?
A: The new SKY UX view will become available to all customers on November 20th, 2020. Your site admin will receive access first and will be able to roll it out to the rest of your organization at any time between November 2020 and October 2021.
Q: Is the user experience / visuals any different for individuals submitting an online application?
A: Your online applicant's experience and your reviewers' experience will not change as a result of the transition to the new SKY UX view. The new view is for your internal staff's experience, enabling you to access Blackbaud Grantmaking in any browser or device. (Your applicants and reviewers can already use any browser or device that they want, today).
Q: How is the org admin (BBGM Classic) different from environmental admin (BBGM SKY)?
A: Organization Admin on blackbaud.com is the designated individual(s) who may make requests to change users, including activating, deactivating, resetting passwords and permission changes for Classic. If you need to verify your status, please contact support. We also sent out emails to certain Admins for each Org from their customer Success Manager. If you did not receive an email but think you should have, please contact your Customer Success Manager and also check your spam folder.
Q: I'm a little confused about the two accounts I have and how they are initially linked.
A: Currently, you have two accounts: Your "Blackbaud Grantmaking" username and password, which you use when you log into Blackbaud Grantmaking; and your Blackbaud ID, which you use to sign into Blackbaud.com, Blackbaud Community, and to create cases with our support team. (You may also use a Blackbaud ID to sign into other products, like Raiser's Edge NXT or Financial Edge NXT).
The first time you log into the Blackbaud Grantmaking SKY UX view, you'll sign in with your Blackbaud ID, then you'll be asked to also enter your "classic" Blackbaud Grantmaking username and password. That will link the two accounts, and from now on you can just log in with your Blackbaud ID.

Q: Can we login to Sky today as the admin, or do you have to wait until November 20th?
A: You will need to wait until you get that email letting you know your site is ready which will be in November (starting Nov.2nd - Nov.20th).
