Partial Refunds on Event Packages

Is it possible to do partial refunds on event packages? I tried to do one today and it would not let me change the refund amount like it does when it is a single event. If this in not possible, is there a suggested work around as I frequently do partial refunds for people that have trouble with people's memberships not being recognized in the system. I wanted to start building my 2020 summer camps in the system using the new event package feature but if it will not allow partial refunds, this is not going to be an option and I will build them as single events.

    Hi Katie,


    Unfortunately, this is something the packages won't do. We've decided to not use this option because of this reason. You will need to ask your financial person to help you do this on the back end of system. If you (or anyone else) has a way around this, I would also be interested in knowing how you do this.

    We used event packages for Summer Camp last year.  We really needed to do partial refunds.  I ended up doing the partial refunds through BBMS, then just putting a note on the record.  Not ideal.  I was hoping they would have the partial refund capability implemented before we start setting up Summer Camps for this year.  Please vote on the IDEA for this.

    Hi,


    I voted for this and now we need it more than ever with being closed for social distancing. We were in the middle of a 6-week "club" session and feel that some members may request a partial refund.


    If this isn't available soon, what are some ideas for workarounds?

    Refund - options…I have an event registration page that a donor made two registrations at two different times One I need to leave as is and one I need to refund all but the payment for the excursion selected. According to the agent I spoke with this can't be done. I was thinking it could be done in DBV but if anyone has any tips/tricks on this I would appreciate the assist.
