Issues with test cards

Hello there, 


We have been working with a client to integrate the Payments Api into our application. We are for the most part done development and testing, but have a few questions about the test cards found here: https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/57464.


Firstly, two of the "Success/Authorized" cards give us an unexpected response. Both the Discover and JCB cards give us the following error: "The card type is not accepted by the payment processor". Note: We receive this error both when testing with our integration and when testing with the "Try it now" on the Blackbaud Sky Api Transaction endpoint reference.


Another note. The supported cards for the test payment configuration the client set up for us are as follows: "MasterCard", "Visa", "AmericanExpress", "Maestro", "Discover", "JCB". Our expectation is that these test cards should work.


Are these cards supposed to work or is this a known issue?


The second issue has to do with errors not being what we expect from two of the other test cards.


The two cards with issues are the "Stolen or lost card" and the "Invalid card verification number" test cards. When using either of these test cards we are not seeing the errors we are expecting. We receive the same error response for both which is as follows: "Multiple attempts at using this credit card have resulted in errors. For security reasons, we cannot accept transactions using this credit card. Please contact us directly to process your transaction". 


Again we tested these both on the Blackbaud Sky Api site and with our own integration and had the same results.


Is this the error we should see for those test cards?

    Thanks for posting to the Blackbaud Payments API Community. Depending on the currency of the Blackbaud Merchant Services (BBMS) account, not all selected cards in the configuration may be supported. You can look at the list of supported cards by currency here: Which credit card types are compatible with Blackbaud Merchant Services?


    If the customer needs to edit any of these cards, they can do so by editing them within the BBMS Web Portal: How to enable or disable Credit Card types in BBMS.


    For the two cards that you are seeing "Multiple attempts at using this credit card have resulted in errors. For security reasons, we cannot accept transactions using this credit card. Please contact us directly to process your transaction." this means the card has been blacklisted due to repeated failures as a fraud prevention method. 


    You can create a Support case to have this resolved on your behalf. Please provide the card type, last 4 and date of last attempted transaction.

    The payment configuration that the client set up for us is using GBP currency, which explains why the JCB test card was not working.


    I'm still confused as to why the Discover test card is giving us an error. Based on the currency and supported cards for the account I would expect it to be successful.
