Query Assistance - Memberships with Multiple Membership Card Names

Our museum has recently decided to go with Cuseum for our digital membership card solution. When developing the query that Cuseum would access to gather our membership information we have noticed that we have several memberships where there are multiple "Membership Card Names." Sometimes these are old cards that have been cancelled or re-issued.

This is creating duplicates in our query that Cuseum would pull and creating extra steps for them.

Has anyone else faced this issue, and if so, how did you solve it?

Has anyone by chance developed a query that pulls only memberships that have multiple Membership Card Names?

Thanks for any assistance you can give!

  • We use Museum Anywhere and they set up the query for us.  But, it looks like they are using the Member field rather than Membership Card field.
  • We also had some issues ironing out the query that Cuseum uses to pull the cards into their dashboard. Our current query:

Maybe you could ask your onboarding associate to check what they did to make CuriOdyssey's fetch run more smoothly?  Happy to chat if that would help too!
  • My issue with Name on card is that it doesn't get built if they apply online. When I inquired about this I was told online doesn't "build a relationship" (well why not???)!  I think you can get around duplicates by saying (Status not cancelled) or (Status = issued).
  • We also just recently made a transition to digital cards, but we are using the member's name rather than what is on the membership card.  To use the most recent card name, I imagine you would have to add criteria to the query that the card expiration is equal to the membership expiration.  Hope this helps!
