Date Stamps or other naming options for reports?

Hello all,


I was curious about why eTapestry allows files to be renamed via Communications > Create Documents > Document Options (screenshot 1) but doesn't offer an option for renaming files delivered as PDFs or spreadsheets via Run Report > 3. Delivery Options (screenshot 2) or Scheduled Items (screenshot 3).


It's only slightly irritating having to remember to rename files after downloading one-off reports, but it turns into a bigger problem when one report is generated on an ongoing basis as a Scheduled Item. Currently, my inbox is full of messages from eTapestry Reporting with identical subject lines and attached file names. Would it be at all possible to add an option to manually edit or automatically insert the current date into the file name before it is downloaded or emailed as a Scheduled Item?

    If you haven't already, this seems like a great addition to the IdeaBank for eTapestry: https://community.blackbaud.com/products/etapestry/ideas. Our developers monitor those suggestions when planning new features. Other eTapestry users will also be able to see your suggestion and vote for it.


    I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you on why it's set up that way, but the IdeaBank is definitely the best course of action to see if it's something that can be changed in the future.
