Notes on Student Billing

Am I the only one who would find it useful to be able to put billing notes on a student account?  Something that only the business office should see, so it shouldn't go on Official Notes.  I have conversations about when a student will be paying on their account, it would nice to be able to attach a note about the conversation to refer to when reviewing balances.  I also think it would be beneficial to be able to attach paperwork to the student account such as a signed payment plan agreement or Financial Aid award letter so that the student can review these items when they log into their student account. IF all of this programming is to move towards an electronic environment, it would be helpful.

    Thanks for your ongoing feedback. I review new feature ideas on Fridays as a rule so you should see your latest additions by the end of the week. In the mean time, some updates on your requests. 


    1. Ability to add notes to a student account: This is currently in development. We'll be adding support in the months ahead for just the type of comments you describe. 

    2. Attaching documents: While this feature is not supported through the Billing Management module, you can include documents / paperwork on student records in Education Management using the file upload/attach capabilities.

    Glad to hear that this is in development!  I used it a bit once I discovered it in FE/EE Student Billing.

     

    2. Attaching documents: While this feature is not supported through the Billing Management module, you can include documents / paperwork on student records in Education Management using the file upload/attach capabilities.

    I know that there is the capability to upload through EM, the issue is though can the student see them?  Even if it is through EM, it would be nice if there was a way for the student to be able to see some of these documents such as Financial Aid Award letters and signed payment agreements.  I would advocate for some sort of action of being able to publish to a student view.
