Constituent Export - Only Exporting SOME Seating Assignments?

We have been using the Events module for years and we've only started noticing a strange problem.  When we build a Constituent Export which lists out the "Table/Row Number" of a particular event (filtered by Event date) we are finding that we're only getting about 80% of the data coming out... the other 20% of the rows have blank values for Table/Row Number.  


In the event 100% of the people have a table number and are seated properly.  If we export out a seating grid everyone shows up.... But in a Constituent Export there just seems to be some sort of weird issue where certain constituents won't show a table number.  I have yet to find a pattern and I've spent a good four hours rebuilding registrations, moving people around, deleting registrations, looking for subtle patterns, sacrificing chickens, etc..... 


Have any of you ever come across this?  I'm hesitant to go to support because it's one of those weird problems that will take 40 minutes to properly describe before I get an "I don't know, I'll send it to the engineers" answers....

    Hi Tom Klimchak‍ - I would recommend you reach out to the Customer Success Department - can reach them by emailing customersuccess@blackbaud.com.  When we had larger issues in the past, that support was unable to help us with, the Customer Success Department was a great in helping us getting the problems solved; for example, we needed a DKIM added so that sent emails, through OLX/LO, would appear in constituent inboxes.

    Thanks, Austen Brown‍!  I'll consider reaching out to Customer Success at some point when I have a little more free time...   I think I have worked with them before.  They were able to move things a little further in some cases.... 


    For the moment I found that I could create the quick export i needed using a Participant query and Export.... which is probably what I should have done to begin with.  I did manage to figure out that some constituent records simply NEVER list the Table Number in a Constituent Export with specific filtering for any event... which seems.... odd.  I spent a ridiculous amount of time and energy with Blackbaud support last year with mixed results, so I'm trying to set some personal limits for how much I reach out to them ?

    Tom Klimchak‍ if the Table Row Number is a PARTICIPANT attribute and the query export is a CONSTITUENT one, then I think there is some logic in the back end that would prevent some constituent records from exporting that information that is on their "participant record" vs their "constituent record."  When you were using the constituent query, were you getting a result line for every event they attended?  Also, are all event participants constituents?


    NOTE - a few years ago I wanted to merge two participant queries together, and went round and round with support as to why my results were always zero. To paraphrase what I remember about the reason - it is because participant queries are completely independent of each other and you can never merge two participant queries because of that.  I believe it has something to do with participant records not being a first class record.
