Unable to authenticate

Hello,

I am trying to connect to blackbaud for Constituent API's, but I am facing issues.

I have used postman to get the access and refresh token, but I am getting the error as shown in the attached image(

Oauth error).

And I tried in a different way also but still I am getting the same error.

Please kindly help to connecto to the black baud server. If you guys have any clear documentation please share.

    Hello Wais,

I believe you're seeing this error because you haven't connected the application to your Blackbaud Environment. We require an Environment admin to authorize the app's use within that Environment before users of that Environment can grant access to that app.

Step 3 of our 'Create an App' tutorial should help you resolve your issue.
    https://developer.blackbaud.com/skyapi/docs/createapp#enable-your-app

Let me know whether this helps. Thanks!
  • Thanks for your reply Chris Rodgers,

But I am still confused what to do?

Here is what I have done,

    1) From single account only I am doing all the actions.

    2) I have added the application(as shown in the attachment Application)

    3) After adding the application, I can't see any action after clicking on 'CONNECT' button.(as shown in the attachment Connect)

    4) And I can't see application tab under 'Control Pnael'  (Raiser's Edge NXT and Financial Edge NXT, this page is accessible from the Control Panel menu within the product.)(as shown in the attachment App)

Is it mandatory to create a separate user to access the SKY API instead of from main admin  account?

I am completely struck please help.

    Hi Wais Asefi‍,

It's not mandatory to create a separate user for SKY API. Based on your screenshots, the issue appears to be that you can't see the "Applications" item under "Control panel". This suggests that you're not logged into the Blackbaud environment as an environment admin. From our data, I can see that you were able to add the SKY API Console app to the environment so you should be an environment admin. Can you confirm that you're logged in with the admin account?

If you're still not seeing Control panel > Applications, you should contact Blackbaud Support as that would appear to be a bug.
