Hi

 We currently use OLX and BBMS to collect our Lottery membership and raffle ticket payments. Under the new Gambling Commission legislation we have to ban credit card payments from the 14th April. 

I have checked with helpdesk who have told me that there is no way to differentiate between card types using BBMS. Therefore we will have to remove these online options by the deadline, leading to a decrease in Income.

One of my colleagues at a neighbouring Hospice has the same issue so i am sure there is not just the two of us.

Any suggestions/solutions would be appreciated

    Hi Nicola Mainwaring‍. It's easy to edit your Online Express donation form and configure it to not accept credit card payments. You do this on the first "tab" in the donation form editor under the payments section. Simply uncheck the box next to Credit Cards as a payment option you want to offer.


    Is that what you were looking for help with? I wasn't quite sure of the significance of being able to differentiate between card types. Are some card types not banned by your local Gambling Commission?

    Hi Chris

     

    I had looked into the option of unticking the
    credit card box but we still need to be able to accept debit
    cards.

    Surely this prevents all card payments?

    Hi Nicola Mainwaring‍ ah yes I understand now. You're correct that Online Express doesn't allow you to configure credit card payments such that it only accepts debit cards but not credit cards. Online Express doesn't have a mechanism for distinguishing between debit and credit card types.

    Hi Nicola Mainwaring‍ - our hospice is in the same position as yours! Have you come across any solutions to manage raffle tickets even if outside of OLX/NXT?


    Any insight you have would be appreciated!
