Target Gift Score

Hello,

Where do you view the Target Gift Score (not range) on RE 7 or RE NXT? I only see the range (min and max) in RE 7 and Research Point.

I was going to query in RE 7 for score, but i might have to go the long route and query for range label and describe with appropriate score #.

Thank you,

SheryAnne

  • I believe it's because it's under the "Model Score" tab in ResearchPoint. Maybe a bit confusing, but your right, it's actually a range. Here's the exact verbiage in ResearchPoint . . .

What does Target Gift Range mean?

The Target Gift Range is the amount the donor is likely and capable of giving to your organization over a 12-month period.

Minimum score is $1-$50. Maximum score is $100,001 +.

    SheryAnne,

Great question! If you have the Target Gift Range (TGR) custom modeling results and have imported them into RE via integration with ResearchPoint or via import with your CSV results files that were returned by your Target Analytics Project Coordinator via your FTP folder, the TGR scores are not uploaded into RE just as AnneMarie stated. The actual dollar ranges for each TGR scores will upload.

If you wish to utilize TGR scores in a query in the database view of RE, you will want to do the following with that field: Type that the Target Gift Range is "One Of" and type in each space the actual dollar range.

For example to create a top identified major gift prospect query based on these custom predictive modeling scores, you might state something like the following:

    Major Giving Likelihood >=701; AND

Target Gift Range is One Of:

    $1,001-$2,500

    $2,501-$5,000

    $5,001-$10,000

    $10,001-$25,000

    $25,001-$50,000

    $50,001-$100,000

    $100,001 +

I hope this is helpful, and feel free to contact our Target Analytics support team if you have questions at https://www.blackbaud.com/support/needhelp.aspx. Best wishes to you.
  • Thank you AnnMarie and Carol!

I'm new to Research Point and I'm trying to understand the analytic results provided. The results are linked and synced to the record in RE 7, so now it's assessing the results and planning.

The query provided is something i can work on; wherein earlier I was looking for a 'score'. I thought i missed a column or not looking in the right tab/field.

Your feedback and solutions are very helpful.

    Thank you!
