Deactivate a Donation form

Hello all, we are currently in a fundraising campaign and it is going well.  We would like to end the campaign and roll into our next campaign, yet still allow donors to see how well we did with our last campaign.  Does deactivating the form prevent more dollars from coming into the current campaign, but still allow the thermometer to show the amount raised?
