Help creating Constituent List in NXT

I'm working on creating a list in NXT that I can create in database view, but I really want to do it in NXT and it needs to be a "live" list so pulling in the list from database view as a static list won't work.

To ID the particular gifts, they have data identifying them on the Gift Reference, on the Gift SubType, and the Payment Type - any of those three would work. None of those seem to be options, so I'm reaching out to see if anyone has any ideas.

The goal is to use this list in a Workflow to help us create our thank-you call list by adding actions to each of those constituents. Basically we get a lot of gifts via CanadaHelps (online giving portal). Because it takes about a week to get the gifts into RE due to how the financial disbursements work we call those people based on reporting straight from CanadaHelps, not RE. So, by the time they are entered into RE, they have already been called.  (I wish I could use appeal to ID them, but for a few reasons, we can't do that.)

Thanks in advance for your brainpower!

  • I've encountered the same issue while working with some gift lists recently - my workaround has to do with the application of an attribute on the gift that is similar to the gift reference. Would that be possible for you?

    Hi Sage,

Thanks for responding - that seems like a good idea, I had originally wondered about Gift Code, but hadn't thought of attribute. I don't see where on the lists function you can search on a gift attribute, it's not under the Giving and the Custom fields/Attributes section only shows me Constituent attributes - is it somewhere else in there? Or, I wonder if it one of those things where they have given the ability to their US clients, but not Canadian - that's unfortunately likely.
