Bold formatting continuing even when unbolded

Hi everyone,


I'm having trouble with my mail merge: in my templates, nothing is bolded, but when the letters are created through merge, some fields and sentences are bolded.  I need all of the letters to be unbolded, but no matter what I do, these fields continue to be bolded when I merge. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks for your help!


PS: In the very first versions of these letters, those lines were bolded, but I have unbolded them and re-uploaded the letters, but can't figure out how to get rid of the bold. The bold does not appear in the template anywhere.

    Hi, Natalie Miller, You may want to try looking at the very end of the document - even where there are no characters with "show characters" on. There might be something you can't actually see that is still bolded. If it is a conditional merge if the letter before it ends with bold that might be carried over.


    If that doesn't work I think I would try bolding everything - running it (with a small query) - and then unbolding it and running it again.


    If that doesn't work, I would consider starting with a new document and making sure when I paste the text back in that it has no formatting in it.


    There have been other questions like yours so you may want to search the community and knowledgebase if none of these work.


    I'd love to know what ends up working for you.
