Change grade plan groups on existing course or per year?

I feel your pain. In order to use the new report card and transcript builder and not confuse the bejeebers out of the faculty, I believe I am going to have to recreate all courses that are not year-long in our system. I have done some research and believe I can export the data I need from the current courses, modify the course names in the export, import that data to create new courses, and then make the old courses inactive and change the names of the imported courses. A crazy amount of time and effort. I am especially not thrilled about having to bloat our database with all of the additional courses. It would wonderful if you could change the grade plan on a course after an academic year was finalized.

In response to COVID-19 and remote learning, our high school decided to drop the final exam (20% of the cumulative grade). Since semesters 1 and 2 each were to count for 40% of the cumulative grade, all teachers were asked to manually move semester 1 assessments to the first day of semester 2 (after we pulled an archive of what existed). The year-end report cards (and subsequent transcripts) will reflect what appears in semester 2 only. 

We use Assessment Styl grading. Our Report Cards show a cumulative set of ratings for the year - so that by the end of the fourth quarter - the report shows the ratings that were given in each of the four quarters. I understand that I can't change the Grade Plan for a course for just the fourth quarter because it will affect the previous quarters. 

But - why can't I import grade plan changes? I've written Advanced Lists that display the Grade Plans and associated assessments and grade categories. I should be able to import them - with the ability to indicate if this is a differential update - or a total replacement.

Like many others - I have had to edit each grade plan for our Lower and Middle School in order to display only the items we are grading on. Being able to import would have been so much more efficient.
