Journal Entry Batch Creator for Excel

Hi, Trying to figure out how to use the JE batch creator add-in for Excel. I get the journal entry in Excel and I can see that it is picking up the account number and project ids, so it looks like I'm all connected, but when I click to submit the batch it tells me "You cannot perform the the requested operation" in a red box. I've looked in KBs but it doesn't talk about error messages so I don't know what to correct from here. Anybody able to point me in the right direction?

  • You will just need activate the application in NXT.  To do this, just go to Control Panel\\Applications.  Then search for Journal Entry.  It should bring up the Journal Entry Batch Creator for The Financial Edge NXT.  Then just click on Connect.    This should allow the add-in to function correctly.

  • Yes, I did get it to work eventually. It seems to be a bit picky at times but getting it to work. It doesn't seem to like linking cells to other tabs for the account number but overall it is a nice tool.
