Grant Cycle Planning during COVID19

Hello:

We manage funds that support professional development and character development in public schools and are working on adjusting our grant cycle for the 2020-2021 school year.  Normally, we run a cycle in the spring for the following school year.  We postponed that when schools closed in March and now plan to run it in August/September when schools usually open.  A few questions have come up for us though.  What if school's do not open until January as August seems rather close now?  What if they open in August and closed say in October re a second wave and the grants have been issued. How would you handle that?

I'd appreciate hearing from others on what contingency planning they are making.

Thanks!
