setting up a board member as a fundraiser

Our board is challenged with either donating or raising a certain goal by the end of the year. What's the best way to credit them with any money they raise?

Do I set them up as a fundraiser and for every donation they get, attach their name as a fundraiser to the donor record? I've never done this before...

So are you somewhat familiar with RE?

Yes, as a fundraiser/solicitor.  Go to the knowledgebase and search "how to assign solicitors". https://search.blackbaud.com/?_ga=2.261761669.948404954.1582556267-1860906219.1579726065#t=All You'll get links to articles on how to make the assignments in several ways.  It can be done several ways.  I usually added solicitors on the fund record. Each needs to be marked as solicitor. Assignments can be made from fundraiser details or each prospective donor record.  I would recommend using date from and to on the assignments.  There are a lot of different ways to record/enter/use the data.

When you enter the gift received in batch or on gift record credit the fundraiser.

The best report to pull the info is Reports > Analytic Reports > Solicitor Performance Analysis.
