Using Email Marketing Function in RE NXT

We are new to using the Email function. I just started drafting out our first template (by modifying an existing one). Where can I find what image size would work best for a header or other images? I know it can be tweaked and there isn't necessarily a specific size but our marketing team will be developing a header image and I want to make sure I have the correct pixel width so it looks right.
