Raiser's Edge/Galaxy/oMatic Membership Integration
Hi everyone,
I have a question for this group - especially if you are using oMatic for integration (not sure if anyone else has run into this).
We currently have all of our memberships in Raiser's Edge, however the way they are set up is not traditional. We currently do not utilize "Joint Memberships" in the system, and instead each membership is under the primary members name and the names on the card are listed under the membership attributes tab (example in attached photo).
We are going to be moving our memberships so that we are selling them out of Gateway's Galaxy ticketing system (which utilizes joint memberships) and will then use oMatic to format the data for import back into Raiser's Edge.
My question is, in your experience, is there a way to set up the data in oMatic so that we can map the attributes fields so that we don't have to change all of our memberships in Raiser's Edge to joint membership types? I know it might be tricky - and we're mainly worried about the possibility of creating duplicate records if this information can't be mapped.
The other issue we run into is that, if we do have to convert our RE memberships to joint, we would have to create Constituent profiles for all the second and third named adults, some of which we don't have contact information for.

I don't know any specifics about IOM but it strikes me as odd that you would consider changing the way you have setup RE because you are not able to get data easily in using a specific integration tool.
There are tools out there that can do this. For example Importacular can import into the layout you have described in one pass (moderator please strike this if this is against the community guidelines but I think it is useful for Natalie to know that it is possible to do this without changing the way in which they work).
