Finanical Ed NXT vs Altru connect

Hello, we are in the process of making some decisions and have been given the option of switching over to Altru connect, which was made by a contractor, or staying with Financial Ed NXT. We were told that Altru Connect is a true integration, but is more expensive, versus the native integration. Has anyone used this product or do you have any insight in helping us make this decision. Any help is appreciated! thank you!

    Hello - I had to look up what Altru Connect does (third party).  https://www.capitalbusiness.net/solutions/altru-connect/  It does not replace FE NXT.  We do not have Altru connect.  I am the CFO and I handle the import from Altru to FE.  When reading what this third party provides in time savings, I find it minimal.  If there is not an exception, one a week I will export to GL from Altru and then import to FE.  Process maybe takes 20 minutes and that is when I am looking at transactions and testing out items.  Would I like full integration?  Yes?  Depends on the cost.  I am not sure you are trading Altru Connect for FE Nxt.  I think you are just adding a third party link.  If you do not, do your own exporting/importing now and you want to see how we do it, I can setup a Zoom/Teams and show you.  Best - Bill

    I am from the Museum of Science and Curiosity (MOSAC) in Sacramento, CA. We just converted from Quickbooks to FE NXT – supposedly to get integration from Altru. It is an incredibly arduous process to do the import. Why doesn't Altru dump the post file into the proper format in the first place so that you don't have to manipulate it? I would love to have a virtual session with you to see your process, if you are willing to do that.
