Impacted by Security Incident, But NOT Notified on July 16th

We received an email September 10th noting we were a part of the breach and that BB is sharing organization names with State Attorney Generals. Until then, we had not received an email or snail mail notification that we had been impacted. I had even called and chatted with support towards the end of July and they said if we did not receive an email, then we were not impacted. It turns out, they sent the email to one of our Admins, a previous staff person (which I understand is our fault for keeping them flagged as an admin). BUT we have two other admins on the account, including myself as the primary invoice contact. Additionally, we did not receive a snail mail letter notification. So my two questions for the community are:
  1. Did anyone else not receive the July 16th email and or a snail mail letter notification, but were indeed impacted?
  2. Does anyone have more than one admin on their account and if so did all your admins receive a notification?

    I can only answer the question about multiple admins.  Both myself and the other admin received the email.  The primary invoice contact did not receive the notification.  I'm not sure if that would have been appropriate, if that person were not a primary user of the system or listed as another primary contact.


    There's more and more information coming out about this everyday.
  • Hi Erin, We have two admins and both received the email. I recall that Blackbaud had said at the time that the primary invoice contact didn't receive the email -- only the admins did.
  • Thank you both! I am also an admin on the account. It turns out myself and the other admin that did not receive the email were somehow flagged as do not email....which is strange because I receive BB emails daily and received the September 10th correspondence.

    Maybe you were flagged as do not mail by the other admin that no longer works there.  I hope you have gone ahead and taken them off the account by now.
