Assignment - Allow Resubmit until Due Date

In Assignments the teachers are selecting the Allow Resubmit until Due Date, and allowing multiple submissions. However, when students try to resubmit they can not. The teachers explain that this worked in the spring when everyone was learning from home. Did something change with updates or are we not understanding this correctly?

We had the same problem - when I moved the due date out a day - then students could resubmit. Assignment due date was set for 8am, seems system made due time at midnight - when date change to next day all was working again. I have a case in - #017978367 since 9/4 when our teachers noticed this. Yet to hear anything on it - UGH

Same problem here. Randomly some students in a class can't take an assessment or regain access to it. The only fix is advancing the due date. My case is #017963160 from August 26, and it's marked as solved. I consider this a workaround, not a real solution.

I have a case as well where the resubmit does not work for a particular student even when you advance the due date as well as extend. I tried all sorts of combinations and nothing works. They are still trying to figure out why.

I my experimenting, I found that if students can't see the Resubmit link when they should (i.e., before the assignment is due), the teacher can make the Resubmit link appear by changing the due date forward, saving the assignment, and then immediately changing the date back to the original date.

Based on what I saw, I don't think that the problem is related to the time of day that the assignment is due. I think that the process of changing the date triggers some settings on the back end of the database to get set correctly.

You could think of it as the Blackbaud equivalent of rebooting the computer...

As other people have stated, entering a number here does nothing any longer. It worked fine last spring. The work around, which is inconvenient at best, is to change the due date for the entire class section so that a student who needs to make up the assessment can do so. Our support person reported this problem to Blackbaud over a month ago (August 18), and still no resolution as of the afternoon of September 14. Is a repair forthcoming? Of course, the bigger question should be, why did this functionality break in the first place?

I have a ticket in with support about this as well. Got confirmation today that the Days Exempt and Allow Resubmit both are not working correctly and the Allow Continue button is missing completely. For most, extending the due date works for a resubmit but I have a situation where even that doesn't work. Hopefully these are not issues that will take 6-9 months to fix. Teachers are losing patience and many are moving to Google classroom.

Which is unfortunate since I don't think an institution can get a reduction in support charges just because they are not using part of the program set.
