Attachments on online applications--is there a limit?

Hello.

I am in the planning stages of moving from paper applications to online applications. A few years ago before I arrived, a Blackbaud employee created a test form (I work at a science foundation and will need to create a form for each award.) I am looking at the paper applications to make suggestions for online forms. Is there a limit to how many attachments an online form can have?

As an aside, I have found it difficult to add attachments to an existing form.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jane

I just went through our regular application and have counted 21 possible attachments, so I'm pretty sure there probably isn't a limit on the number of attachments. However, there may be a size limit, but that can be changed in Settings > Attachments > Change size in the right column. I have mine set at 5 MB, which accommodates even large Tax 990s. I have also set my attachments to allow only PDFs, which cuts down on size. Adding an attachment is a drag and drop from the left menu under the Request section. Be sure to watch the yellow arrow before you release the left mouse button as that will tell you where it is going to put it. I'd be happy to walk through it with you in a phone call  if you still have questions 260-422-2900, ask for Terry.
  • There is no limit on the number of attachments you can have in a form, but the maximum size for all attachments combined is 1000 Mb.  You can have all your attachments on a separate attachments page, or use the Attachment field to request attachments on other pages of your application.

Thank you for your thorough answers. I appreciate it, and have made a note on if it for future reference.

Terry, I'm not quite at the editing stage. But when I am, and I still have trouble, I'll take you up on the offer.

    Thanks,

    Jane
