NXT participant invited and error with OLX registration

Hi BB Community,


so we add constituents that have been invited to an event via the NXT event module.  What we have found is that once a participant registers via our OLX event rego form, we are unable to process the transaction as the system gives us a 'participant already exists on the event' message.

Interestingly this is only happening when we add them via NXT, if they are added to an event as 'Invited' in RE7 we are able to process the registration transaction.


Just wondering if anyone has come across this and found a solution to be able to retain who was invited and who then registered.

    Hi Jo,


    When you're adding participants to the event from RE7 and not getting this error from OLX registrants, are you adding existing constituents as registrants or adding new non-constituents as registrants? 


    Also, can you check to see if you have the option Config>Business Rules>Event option to "Allow multiple constituent registration" selected?  I believe this may be what is causing the error, as long as you allow multiple constituent registrations your OLX registration should be allowed through. You  may need to do some reconciliation between the invitee and registration once it's in.
