Unable to access Ideas page

I've been trying to access the Ideas page for BBG located here: https://community.blackbaud.com/products/fimsandgrantmaking/ideas/


I tried logging in with my Blackbaud ID and it said I didn't have an accout yet, and then when I tried to create an account I recieved an error that said “Your email domain does not allow you to self register”. Grantmaking customer support is unable to help me, but I can't find support specifically for community page issues. I'm going in a circle!


Has anyone tried to log into the ideas page for the first time recently? If you use it regularly, do you use your standard Blackbaud ID?

    Hi Alison,

    I had the exact same experience as you did. I thought maybe it was a glitch and would try again another day. I haven't had the opportunity to do that yet. I have a number of thing to call Customer Support about, so I'll add that to the list.

    I've experienced the same thing - i think it says a lot of what they think of our ideas.

    Good Morning, Alison. I just tried again and this time was able to login with my BBID. I had been having the same issue as you for a week or so.

    Just tested again, unfortunately I'm still having the issue. Thanks for your help Jen. Will keep you updated on my efforts with customer support.

    Sorry to hear that, Alison. I am frustrated that I cannot currently login to the system (Classic or SKY) and even though I reached out to support earlier this morning, it took BB at least 90 minutes to post anything about the issue. Communication is extremely frustrating.

    This answer is only for the comments about logging into the Ideas portal. This software is managed by the Blackbaud Developers and Product Managers. It is the most effective place for you to post an idea and vote for an idea, the more votes the better!!! In order for your name to be connected to your vote or idea you will need to create a new account. Simply scroll to the bottom and look on the left to see the log in/sign up link.


    Please let me know if you have any other questions about how to access the portal.
