Hi folks,


I'm trying to access the School API using Google Apps Script and while I don't need help with the Apps Script portion, I just need help getting started. I've gone through the steps to create an app, get my subscription ID and such, but that first authentication step I just don't understand. If anyone would be willing to take a few minutes and just get me through the front door, I'd greatly appreciate it!

    See if these steps help you fill in the gaps and get you access to our cohort sandbox where you can test out the authentication.

    Sounds like you've figured out thatyou actually create and register an app before you build it, in order to have an ID to connect the application to the environment.

    We can help you connect to a shared sandbox to begin your development before attempting to run your application on a live school environment.
    I would start here
    • The SKY Developer Cohort – If you do not have access to your own Blackbaud environment, you can request access to the Cohort sandboxes.
    You can test out calls from the API reference using the “Try it” after we connect you to a sample environment.
